Daniel Fortin Joins The Bâtirente Team2010-01-18
Bâtirente is proud to announce that Daniel Fortin, an Actuary and Strategic Advisor with over 25 years of experience, is joining its team as Assistant Co-ordinator – Products and Distribution.
A Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Daniel has been responsible for several national pension plans with major consulting firms such as Aon Consulting and Watson Wyatt. Before becoming a Consultant, Daniel was a practising Actuary with Empire Life, in charge of the financial management and administration of their Eastern Canada pension plans.
In addition to co-ordinating the activities of Bâtirente’s Group Annuity Advisors team, Daniel will be responsible for analysing the needs of groups, for designing the plans and services offered within our retirement system and for relations with federations and with CSN benefit specialists.
Daniel is excited about Bâtirente’s innovating approach, based on the associative model (NPO): “With Bâtirente, the CSN Movement proposes an original, potential-rich, solution to the pension plan crisis.”
Daniel’s arrival will help Bâtirente to define and to convey its service offer even better, and to improve the retirement financial situation of CSN members, both active and retired.
