What You Told Us2010-08-02
Record numbers of members–close to 600–filled out the annual survey questionnaire enclosed with the January 2010 Biannual Letter.
Here are the highlights of the survey results. In 2010, the proportion of respondents indicating that they were satisfied or highly satisfied with Bâtirente reached 96 percent. Although satisfaction rates have historically remained above 90 percent, this was a definite peak.
Respondents indicated that they were satisfied or highly satisfied with the performance of Bâtirente funds in a proportion of 84 percent, a net gain over 2009, when the financial crisis had melted satisfaction down to 64 percent.
Respondents indicated that the main advantages of the Bâtirente system lie in its simplicity and in the trustworthiness of the institution. In this regard, 22 percent of respondents classified the benefit of lower than market management fees as the main advantage provided by Bâtirente. Readers are invited to check the section on management fees on page 4 of this Biannual Letter.
Please note that Johanne Thériault was the lucky winner of the drawing of a digital camera held for survey participants.
