Growing Assets for Bâtirente2010-08-12
Despite anaemic financial markets, Bâtirente’s total assets grew in the first half of 2010. As at June 30, 2010, they reached $799.8 million, for a $10.2 million increase over December 31, 2009. This rise was due to a 1.8 percent increase in the Bâtirente retirement system assets and to a 1.0 percent increase in institutional depositors’ assets. When taking into account the shareholder engagement mandate granted by an external retirement plan, Bâtirente’s total assets under management reached $986.4 million.
