First Sectoral Plan2010-09-08
The Fédération des professionnèles CSN (FP) and Bâtirente are proud to announce that they have set up the first sectoral retirement plan within the CSN’s community and local development sector and that the CDÉC Centre-Nord is the first group to join the plan. The May 2008 CSN Convention had selected this sectoral model to promote member access to quality retirement conditions.
Recognizing that access to retirement plans in its community sector was insufficient, the FP CSN decided to invite its affiliated unions to give priority to this issue in their bargaining process. The establishment of a plan aimed at regrouping all its unions provides the federation with a minimum retirement conditions policy that requires sufficient contributions to be made by employers and employees, and with better long-term appreciation conditions for their collective savings.
Choosing Bâtirente as the promoter of its plan meant that the FP CSN allowed every one of its members to take advantage of the recognized expertise of a solidly established retirement system, while helping to build up “the strength of our savings” that will benefit all Bâtirente members.
