Principles for Responsible Investment
Bâtirente was one of the first signatories to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), an initiative launched under the aegis of the United Nations. To preserve the credibility of the initiative, the PRI request signatories to submit their implementation of the six principles covered by the declaration to yearly assessments. This assessment becomes all the more important as the number of participating organizations increases every year: from 74 in 2008, to 128 in 2009 and to 168 in 2010.
The 2010 annual PRI implementation assessment places Bâtirente in the leading group with regard to the second and fifth principles, respectively covering shareholder practices and co-operation between investors with regard to social, environmental and governance (ESG) issues. Bâtirente obtains a second quartile ranking for principles 1, 4 and 6 and places in the third quartile for principle 3.
